Greetings Coaches and Managers!
The Kingston United Soccer Club would like to THANK YOU for participating in our inaugural First Capital Tournament and Festival! The perfect weather certainly made way for the excellent calibre of skills and play we saw.
We hope you thoroughly enjoyed the level of competition, the venue and the opportunity to play teams from outside your district and hope to see you again next year! If so, please spread the word to other teams in your Club as well as others in your league of play. We would like to continue to grow our event, making the First Capital Tournament & Festival the best it can be!
Our first U11 Festival saw the following teams play:

Kingston United Gardner (U10)
and our U12 Festival saw:
Gloucester Hornets Attack
Gloucester Hornets Impact
Kingston Clippers
Ottawa City (OCSC)
Quinte West Wolverines

Kingston United
Congratulations to all on the fantastic soccer!
Our U14 division saw five teams challenging for the title of Champion:
Belleville Comets (U13)
Kingston Clippers
Quinte West Wolverines (U13)
Ottawa City (OCSC) Silver
Kingston United (U13)
Great soccer was played over the two day schedule, culminating with the Kingston Clippers 2-1 victory in the Championship game against Kingston United. The teams played a well fought match, with the score 1-1 at the half. The battle continued through the second half with the Clippers taking an early 2-1 advantage and pressed to find an insurance marker. Meanwhile Kingston United pushed up the field looking to tie the contest. This see-saw affair continued, and with just over 10 minutes to go, United was awarded a penalty kick. The ball was placed on the mark, addressed by the player, struck.... and hit the left goalpost, staying out of the back of the net. After continued chances by both teams, when the game ended, the Clippers the became the first champions of the U14 division of the First Capital Tournament for girls. Congratulations! Well done!
Again, thank you to all who participated and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.
Yours in soccer,
--
